A lot of investors/founders are talking about the benefits of being profitable and why in the current environment, that may be the best move. With that said, I feel like a ton of folks are overcorrecting from the last bull market. The point of raising venture capital is not just to build a business, but to pursue a vision. To solve a massive problem. To impact the world. And of course, the business fundamentals need to make sense, but those should serve the vision, not the other way around. If founders don’t like that dynamic, they shouldn’t raise venture capital.
